Here is the thing. Don't assume that your child is immune to this epidemic. You can't ignore the issue and hope for the best. You also can't expect school, government or anyone else to deal with it. It is your responsibility to cover this with discussion at home and then take extra measure if desired like classes or training. Here are some numbers that might motivate you to be proactive.
Waiting until a person is more mature, financially stable, better educated (at the least about life) emotionally fit will benefit the parent and child both short term and long term. Then again, that is my opinion. The reality for you will depend on what your desires are for you and your child. What is important though is to consider not just the fun or positive aspects of having a child young. Weigh it against the negatives and how it affects the plans for your life and your child's.
