Too much time sitting down is harmful to your health

Not just a little harmful.  It is very harmful to spend more than a few hours doing nothing, especially if you do this every day.  You might think that a little exercise would erase this problem but it doesn't.  Although exercise in your life is always a good thing, it doesn't take away a lot of the damage that prolonged and frequent sitting can do.  It doesn't matter if you are playing video games, watching TV or using the computer (which I must address even though most of my time is work related).

Abuse of Authority - Police At Their Worse?

Is this abuse of authority? Does this seem excessive? Actions like these are what makes the average citizen have contempt for law enforcement does it not? Is the contempt warranted? What's your opinion.


What about this one, is this really necessary? Or is the news guy cause problems with the flow of traffic. Isn't this standard for accidents? It the police over zealous? It this abuse of authority or poor judgement or the police doing their jobs?


Although, notice the guy saying "He can shoot if he wants to" Is that provoking a response? The cop didn't say stop shooting. So is the report trying to get a response. I don't thing they should have been told to leave however the officer was walking away and then that comment hit his ego as unnecessary disrespect and contempt (lol, my opinion obviously, but you see the reaction for yourself).

so at the end of the day, this never should have happened, yet it did't have to go this far either. Well that's why I was interested in see what other people had to say about it.

That's the headline that was given for the video. The State gave the guy $40,000 for this incident.

Question. Do normal people just sign the ticket and THEN challenge it in court or give the cops a hard time?

Is it normal to say no I am not going to sign, I am going to go back and see the sign?

After seeing this strange behavior is the cop rational to question the guys actions or even what the guy will do next.

If this is so is it unreasonable for the police to taser someone who has to this point been uncooperable and refused to do as told?

So......Is this abuse or not? What is the truth about this incident?



How about this one? Is this abuse?

Question.... If the cop warned the kid before this incident, which the kid admitted to... Doesn't that mean the cop could do write him a citation? So isn't taking the board (although, I don't know if he can or not, would be interesting to find out how this went, but still...) isn't taking the board giving him a break?

Would the parents serve the kid better by telling the kid that he should have not skated. Is this an opportunity for the kid to learn a lesson of following rules or is it the chance to learn rebellion is correct behavior and obeying laws isn't.



I don't know, I am asking. What do you think about this one. Is the cop abusive or is the kid out of line. Should the parent take up for the kid or stand behind the officer? What truly is the appropriate behavior of the people involved in these incidents from a big picture view. Looking at it not JUST from one point of view but also from the point of view of the officer. (Which most people REFUSE to do but you are smarter than that)
That's why I want your honest opinion.

Higher Pay Will Be a More Common Thing in The Future in my Opinion

Other trucking companies will be doing the same as Maverick in my opinion.  It has been my opinion since the beginning of the recession.  Because of higher demand for drivers combined with the increase enforcement of regulations for safety.  Older drivers are leaving the industry, retiring or tiring with all of the changes.

Smart trucking companies looking at more than the 1st tier bottom line will see beyond immediate saving of hiring all new drivers and turning them over rapidly.

Smart trucking companies will focus on higher pay and better treatment of drivers in aim for a more loyal base and lower turn over rate.  This in my opinion creates a more solid company that has to ask less of employees because employees feels like more than employees.  They are treated like people that are part of a team.  They will work better and be happier which means, safer more proficient drivers who waste less money are more responsible and take better care of equipment.  I don't know why it is so hard to understand this.

Soon even not understanding or believing this will not matter.  Once enough trucking companies and other employers for that matter goes this route, companies who don't will not have a good pole of workers to hire from.  They to will end up having better money and benefits for drivers because they will have to in order to function.  Albeit it not at mass efficiency for lack of concern to treat their drivers as people.

The will still not have employees who wouldn't leave the company, they would remain only for better pay and benefits.  So trucking companies need to have someone in charge who actually cares about people and desire to give them a pleasant place to work.  Go talk to the people at Maverick. maybe they can help with the attitude adjustment.  I have talked to a few drivers who work there and most of them loved it, I am sure now then love it even more.

Also notice how trucking companies who do treat drivers better will enjoy free publicity.  I do it all of the time but all people talk about things the like or find providing a value to them or others.  Ok,well not all people but you get my point.  I have also pointed out New Century before and it is because it is a great company to work for as far as I can tell by all of the drivers that I have talked to.

So take your pick, keep treating drivers like crap or step your game up and enjoy YOUR benefits for doing so!

Waste Fraud and Abuse of Your Tax Money - Just One Example

Not doubting that the unemployment pains in America and across the world in most place are serious. In fact, the pains problem may be more serious than we are lead to believe if we take the numbers reported seriously. While many would take offense, I can see it also being a double edge sword to report the truth.

It is sad but true that we are too easily swayed by media reporting. We let it affect our minds and determine our moods and guide our actions. If people really heard the extent of the unemployment problems the way things are reported, there probably would be an epidemic of depression and robberies. The feelings of hopelessness would spread across the Earth. (I mean worse!)

The messages from experts, news, officials, etc should include the fact that people MUST think outside of the box and look for other than the traditional positions they once held. You MUST get cross trained in other areas. Technology, the green movement, aging population, the flee from the financial during the bubble events, are creating new opportunities for people. These opportunities are not just to be employees but entrepreneurs and small business owners.

For many it will require additional training, for many who are suffering there are ways to get the training for free. The training in many cases are less than a year.
There is opportunity out there for the people who spend more time searching and seeking to improve their marketability. The opportunity is for people who pay attention to the changes that are being made and adapting by getting the training they need to be qualified to new growth sectors of employment. (Green Energy, Many medical tech positions, Computer Tech, Social Marketing, Network Security, etc)

But also there are opportunities in other traditional areas, boilermakers, plumbers, welders, for example. People are just listening to the reports, new stories, and other media and closing their eyes from fear (or pain). I feel for you, but no one, NO ONE, NO ONE can do most of the things that needs to be done in your lives in order to get on track.

You MUST look at life differently and be proactive to prepare and qualify for the current and upcoming changes.

So part of what these stories need to run over and over and over again, is what I am saying to you right now. Find training that is geared toward new opportunities and you began rising above the unemployment numbers. Now I am not even going to say anything about online opportunities to make money because a lot of people will believe that is unreal, yet they will spend hours online goofing off.

However, there also must be a new overall attitude. Laziness, something for nothing, poor performance, carelessness, and other negative attributes that I have seen over and over and over again in the workplace, beside me and at companies that I deliver to as a truck driver has to go. You just can't do it that way anymore.
The times have finally caught up to that segment of the populations. Obviously the higher the unemployment the more employable will be employed. Now if that means you have problems because of your past criminal, or employment background. Don't worry, no excuses there are plenty of opportunities for you too. you just have to intentionally go in a direction that offers you the ability to be an independent contractor of small business owner. Plenty are out there. SEARCH.

You might even have to work for a few weeks for free, (this means you too college grads) just to get your feet in and show that you can be an asset to a company. Hey are you going to seize ever opportunity to win or will you dismiss those you rather not do because of pride. Sacrifices sometimes make the best investment. But that is your decision. I will tell you this, think outside of the box and look at the big picture. Someone out there is willing to go far and beyond what others will do to get that job. You going to be like everyone else or stand out and get the job?

In any case don't think I am bashing, I am simply trying to help you by creating an awareness of a need to change the mindset. The reports may or may not be accurate, the may or may not mean well, they may or may not be true. The DO NOT dictate how you life (future) will turn out. They are a reflection of the pain now.

YOU have control over tomorrow. We all experience pains. And I can't say I face what you face. I know that. But guess what, feeling sorry for yourself or dwelling on the unfairness of life will not be what gets you back on your feet.

Being truthful about how qualified you are to participate in the new job market and taking the steps needed to step that up will help you eventually. I can't give you fairy tale answers about how to erase the pain or eat tomorrow as far as that goes. I wish I could. I can tell you with certainty as I have what needs to happen so you don't stay hungry, homeless, or hopeless.

Be persistent in your pursuits, get qualified for new opportunities, have a positive attitude, think outside of the box, over perform when given a chance, embrace change instead of complaining, find something positive to say about your life today say it at least every morning and night before you sleep and follow with "and things will only get better for me."

I wish you the best of luck and I didn't take the time to write all of this because I am mean. I feel it's what you need to hear instead of the mess you keep hearing.
I want to see you take positive steps in the right direction with the right attitude because if you let the reports sink into your head, you are likely to be left motionless.

Fracking while providing a huge amount of energy and wealth to communities with resources to harvest, does not come without serious concerns. It may eventually have problems that out weigh the benefit. To some people who's lives have already been changed, they would say eventually is now.

While scam may be a harsh term for the issue. There are definitely some issues that should be examined. College is a benefit to the graduate who has the right mindset about college. A person attending with old school mindset is likely to simply create debt with insufficient return.

College experience and knowledge can be maximized with creative thinking, strategic planning and financial literacy prior to selecting a school and during attendance. Problem....how many kids are at that level of thinking by the time they are seniors in school? Which is when the decision making for college is usually made.


However, you could also get alternative learning and make your mark in life with success and meaning contributions without creating so much debt from traditional education.

People seem to dismiss the potential of alternative education like community college and private training and even internet course. Not to mention business specialty training and training online. For instance I use this affiliate to make money while driving a truck. Well a college student could be doing the same thing.

BUT be for real. A lot of what is stated is relay situations that just does not have to exist.

YOU DON't have to go to the most expensive schools.
YOU DON'T have to start creating other high expenses know you have those student loads to pay and then complain about how much of your pay is going to the repayment and you have other obligations. Don't make those obligations if you know you have to pay that loan.
YOU DON'T have to blow your student load money on other stuff that it is not supposed to be spent on.

So take what you will from this entry. Most of all. Think for yourself and do what makes sense for you, not what everyone else does.

It's obvious from this video that there should be college reform. Meanwhile though, use your head and don't get caught up in the hype. Do what is best for you.

Bad Things Are Going To Happen To You

Sorry, this is life 101. Best face the facts now so that you can prepare. The most positive and proactive person will continue to face challenges and even life being what most would consider as being unfair. So the question is how will you react when these things happen.

You can't afford to let life push and pull you around. The reason that you do want to think positive is so that you can mentally prepare for the challenges in life. You want to be proactive so that you make better decisions which will help you to avoid some issues and be best positioned to endure and overcome others. Challenges are what makes us grow. Without them we become weak and complacent.

View the challenges and obstacles in your life as opportunities to learn and expand your mind. Shine on my friend and live not in fear. Live in the excitement of progress.

Recovery 2011. We are at a crossroads in the way that we think and live. We have issues that needs to be addressed. Yes, you, I and them!

Truth is, the longer we keep point to someone else for where we find ourselves, the longer we will be where we are. Well there is no need for a bunch of words here, listen to the video.



We can't sit back and wait for others to pave double lane highway back to happiness and prosperity. There is no magic wand that will turn back time. It's time to figure out what we need to do in our own lives in order to make it by now, (which may mean get assistance, no problem with that) and to position ourselves down the road so that we are able to fit into the new reality. Many of the jobs that were around before the recession will not return and shouldn't return as far as that goes.

Each of us MUST assess our skill set and look at the big picture of the economy to determine if we are prepared for the future.

For instance, any smart employer who is able to automate should automate during the downturn while his business was disrupted, that might mean you will not have a job.
Sorry, that's just how things evolve. So if this is the case you can't sit around waiting for that job or similar jobs to be available.

The trend is green. Get trained. Healthcare related opportunities will be available do research and get trained. Network Security, Database Management, etc. find our what jobs will be in demand based on the direction of the economy and the nation and prepared now.
